Giant Chocolate Cupcake Recipe For Silicone Mould
Ingredients
This recipe for a giant chocolate cupcake is perfect for a special occasion! It is easy to make and uses a silicone mould, so you won’t have to worry about it sticking to the pan. You will need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of butter, melted
- 2 cups of sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 cup of hot water
- Silicone Mould
Instructions
Start by preheating the oven to 350°F. Grease the silicone mould with butter or non-stick cooking spray. This will help ensure that the cupcake won’t stick to the mould when you try to remove it.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and stir until combined. Add the sour cream and mix again until smooth.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Slowly add the hot water and stir until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared silicone mould and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Once the cupcake is done baking, let it cool completely in the mould before attempting to remove it. To remove the cupcake from the mould, turn it upside down and gently press on the bottom until the cupcake pops out.
Finally, top the cupcake with your favourite frosting and decorations. Enjoy!
